Profile Information: You are fearfully and wonderfully made and your brain is the most wonderful organ God has blessed you with! I absolutely love the brain and am amazed at all the things it accomplishes on a daily basis. From a simple blink of the eye to reading and comprehending this short paragraph, your brain is constantly receiving and processing information. Your brain can juggle multiple simple or complex activities simultaneously but can also become overwhelmed by life’s many stressors including: grief, anxiety, depression, and even routine life transitions. Seeking mental health services is a powerful way to protect your brain and subsequently your overall physical and mental well-being.
I have over 15 years experience in the field of psychology and have worked with individuals across the lifespan and with various diagnoses. Most recently, I have worked primarily with the geriatric population providing cognitive assessments (in both clinical and research settings) particularly for memory and movement disorders. I am also passionately involved in outreach efforts to increase the knowledge of care and research opportunities for Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias (ADRDs) within underrepresented communities. This work has helped me to realize the importance of early interventions to reduce one’s risk of neurodegenerative conditions later in life.
I am interested in working with individuals 18+. Particularly adults navigating various stressors brought on by work, childcare &/or eldercare, etc. I would be honored to join your mental health journey as you shift your mindset from daily surviving to forever thriving.
